Floyd Calvin Schroyer

Floyd Calvin Schroyer, 91, of Jefferson, MD passed away on December 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.   He was born on May 29, 1931 in Middletown, MD to the late John S. and Blanche M. (Huffer) Schroyer, and graduated from Middletown High School, Class of 1948. 

He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and worked as an electrician for Grossnickle of Middletown from 1953 to 1963 and Horn Electric from 1963 until his retirement in 2008.  He loved taking care of his yard - mowing  grass and weeds.  

In addition to his parents, Floyd is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Schroyer.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen E. (Poffinberger) Schroyer; his son Randy Schroyer, and his wife, Sheridy; his daughter Misti Schroyer, and her husband, Justin Richwagen; his grandson Noah Schroyer, and his wife, Kathryn; great grandchildren Madisyn and Landon; his brother James Schroyer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Ashley from Thrive and Tina from Frederick Health Hospice for their excellent care. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Jefferson.  Pastor Rick Schoenly will officiate.
