|Dear Lydia and family,
Babs and I hold you in our daily prayers.
I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Dwight.
For many years, Dwight and I got together on the Friday before Middletown Heritage Day to gather tables, artifacts, and other items so that we would be ready to set up the Middletown Valley Historical Society booth. I always thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to spend Heritage Day with Dwight. In between speaking with visitors, we talked about careers, families, hobbies, and local history. What a fascinating, interesting person was Dwight.
Each spring, Dwight served as the Society’s auctioneer at our annual dinner and I was his assistant. His humor and affability were the keys to the Society’s success each year.
Dwight and I also enjoyed camaraderie as the only male members of the all-woman MVHS Board of Directors!
I consider myself truly blessed to have known Dwight. He was the personification of a truly good person and the world is much diminished by his passing.
We stand ready and eager to do anything to help you and the family in these sorrowful days.
