Patrick Dean Rhinehart, 46, passed away on February 15, 2020 at home surrounded by loving family and friends.

He was born in Charlotte, N.C. on September 8, 1973, the son of Sandra Coblentz (nee Dean) of Frederick and Russell Rhinehart of Oklahoma.

Patrick was born with cerebral palsy, but never let that hamper his beautiful spirit. Everyone will remember his bright smile, sparkling eyes, and boundless optimism. He graduated from Thomas Johnson High School and Frederick Community College. He loved the Washington Capitals and was thrilled when they won the Stanley Cup. He also loved eating (pizza, steak and shrimp), reading, and playing Monopoly on the Wii.

Patrick was a member of Brookhill UMC and and the Special Friends group. He leaves behind many special friends including Ray and Liz Morgan, Cassie Shaffer, and Don Faut. Heartfelt thanks goes to them, Hospice of Frederick, and the many people who cared for and worked with him in the community. Special thanks to his hospice nurse Linda and daily nurses Kiki and Penny.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Desmond Dean and Robert Rhinehart, and his grandmother Mari Rhinehart. Surviving him are: his brother Robert Rhineart and wife Rowena, niece Jamaeka Nueva, grandmother Eva Dean, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Brook Hill United Methodist Church on March 16, 2020 at 11 AM.Pastor Dana Werts and Pastor Linda Warehime will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Attendees are encouraged to wear Washington Capitals jerseys or shirts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O.Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702 or Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Rd., Frederick, MD 21702.
