Mary Ida Ramsburg Crouse, 91, of Burkittsville passed away Saturday July 21, 2018 from a stroke. She was the wife of the late George Crouse. Born in Lewistown on September 14, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Maynard and Girtie Baugher Ramsburg.
She was predeceased by her three children George "Bobby" Crouse, Shirley Crouse Clingan, and Larry Crouse and four brothers John Walter, Paul and Norvel Ramsburg and a sister Blanche Ramsburg. She is survived by three grandchildren, Vicki Crouse Nalley of Boonsboro, Shannon Crouse of Pennsylvania and Christina Crouse Gladhill and husband Kevin of Frederick and four great-grandchildren Britney Gladhill of Martinsburg, WV, Nicole Gladhill of Woodsboro, Justin and Joseph Crouse of Pennsylvania, two great-great grandchildren Devyn and Lily and many nieces and nephews, three sisters Helen Lowe of Frederick, Nellie Helman of West Virginia and Louise Ramsburg Chewning and husband JC of Texas.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 24 at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday July 25 from the funeral home.
Rev. Dr. Curvin D. Stambaugh will officiate. Interment will be made in the Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick Co., POB 1799, Frederick, MD 21702

I was terribly heart broken to hear about aunt Mary's passing. She was one of the sweetest, warmest and yes - funny!-people I've had to pleasure of meeting. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
