Harold Edwin Lapkoff, 84, of Middletown, Md passed from this life on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Harold went by many monikers including: Hal, The Bull, Daddy, Poppy, Captain, Uncle Hal and Gramps. In addition, he is survived by Theodore and Sharon Lapkoff and Anthony Michaelangelo.

Harold graduated from Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD and went on to serve proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1960. His service in the US Navy paved the way for his employment at John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory where he worked until his retirement. Harold loved his work and made life long friends.  He was famous at the Lab for jokes, his parties and his poetry.

Harold was an amazing father who never let a special occasion go by without performing an original poem or song written just for you! He was very active and will be remembered for his love of travel…”on the road again”, his words of wisdom…”Everything in Moderation”, and his sense of humor…”You got Question?” Always one to be in the center, Harold maintained a broad and diverse circle of family, friends and friends that became family.  He will be missed by all.  Donald B Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown is in charge of arrangements.
