It is with great heartache we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother Donald Lee "Punk" Delauter, 64, Frederick, Friday February 2, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Marlin A. Delauter.
Born in Frederick on July 17, 1953 he was a son of the late Glenn and Helen Fink Delauter. In his early years he farmed; then worked for Morgan-Keller Co and most of his life was a self-employed home improvement contractor. He also helped with social functions at Middletown and Braddock Volunteer Fire Co. for many years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Frederick and the South Mountain Gun Club.
Surviving, besides his wife are two daughters Estee Burgess and husband Steve; Brittney Delauter and fiancee Jacob W. Smith,
three grandchildren Quinna, Ava, Gavin, one sister Shirley Lenhart, a niece Debbie Morton and husband Richard, one nephew Douglas Lenhart and wife Debbie and a special cousin Wayne Leatherman and wife Holly. He was predeceased by a brother Ronald "Butch" Delauter and a brother-in-law Robert Lenhart.
The family will receive friends on Monday February 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be private. Rev. Kenneth Gill will officiate. Interment will be made in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church cemetery, Frederick.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Cancer Care Center and the Doctors and staff and Hospice of Frederick Co.
