Gladys Cordelia Leatherman Naille, 99, of Wolfsville died Saturday December 9, 2017 at Vindobona Nursing Home in Braddock Heights. She was the wife of the late Elvin Naille.

Born in Wolfsville on May 11, 1918 she was the only child of the late Elroy and Betty Mae Cartee Leatherman. Gladys enjoyed working alongside of her parents in the home and on the farm. When Gladys was a young girl her father bought eleven turkey eggs from a neighbor and carried them home to her in his straw hat. That was the start of a very successful turkey business which Gladys ran from her farm. Gladys married Elvin Naille and they farmed together until his death in 1991. Although Gladys and Elvin never had children, she took great pride in her extended family and was always very proud of them.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday December 14 from the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, 11301 Meeting House Rd., Myersville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Donna and Tim Ritchey Martin will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends. There are no words that can fill the void of your loss or take away your pain at this time. But may you be comforted by God's promise to soon eliminate death and bring our loved ones back to us in a new world of peace.

"He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces..."- Isaiah 25:8
