Leslie "Les" Franklin Forrest Jr. 67, of Myersville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and son while Pastor Karen Grossnickle of the Harmony Church of the Brethren read Psalms from the Bible on August 5, 2017. Born in Brunswick on April 19, 1950 he was the son of Thelma O. Hildebrand Forrest, Frederick and the late Leslie Franklin Forrest Sr.

Les and his uncle Jerry owned and operated Therapy Services, Inc. of Frederick for twenty years and he retired from Neutron Products in Dickerson in 2015. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed spending his free time tinkering in the garage or out on the tractor for what he called "tractor therapy". He was a 1968 graduate of Brunswick High School and a member of the Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville.

Les was the husband of Martha E. Leatherman Forrest for forty-four years. Surviving besides his mother and wife are his children Lance Forrest of Frederick and Stephanie Forrest Babin and husband Scott, and two wonderful grandchildren Grant and Elaine of Marietta, GA. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt Jerry and Linda Fogle and his aunt Delores Hovermale.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 9 at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St. Middletown from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 10 at 11:00 a.m. from the Harmony Church of the Brethren, 3924 Brethren Church Rd., Myersville. Rev. Karen Grossnickle will officiate. Interment will be made in the Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville.
