Mrs. Constance (Connie) Lorraine Linton, age 87, of Frederick and formerly of Jefferson, Maryland , passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Palliative Care Center. Connie was the daughter of the late Chester Wright and Evelyn Catherine (Rice) Brown. She was raised on a farm on Horine Road which is now the site of the Jefferson School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn H. Linton in 2006. She was the former wife of Edward V. Smith of Jefferson, Maryland.

Mrs. Linton was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge 371, Elks Lodge No. 684, and St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jefferson, Maryland. She was formerly employed and retired from Carmack-Jays of Frederick, Maryland and worked in the cafeteria at Jefferson Elementary School. She is survived by a daughter Evelyn Vollmer and her husband Donald, Steven Smith and his wife Kelly, Donna Winck and her husband Kim, all of Jefferson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kimberly Winck, Tyler Winck, Brandon Cox, Britney Cox, Justin Smith, Dawn Bitzer, Derick Ogg, Devin Ogg, Derick Vollmer, Meghan Vollmer, and six great-grandchildren and by her sister-in-law Doris Brown of Jefferson.

A special note of thanks to the wonderful staff of Edenton for their care and support over the last several months.
The family will receive friends on Thursday June 22 from 5 to 7 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown.
  
Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Friday June 23 from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jefferson. Rev. Dr. Robert Driver-Bishop, interim pastor, will officiate. Interment will be immediately following in the Jefferson Lutheran Cemetery. Lunch will follow in the St. Paul Pathway Room.
