Carolyn Amanda (Whitey) Kidd,76, Myersville went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 22, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Douglas C. Kidd who predeceased her in April 1978.

Born January 2, 1940 she was a daughter of the Clinton Joseph and Mae Delauter Brunner.
She attended Middletown High School and did domestic work for several Middletown clients until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.

She is survived by her five children; Pamela Brickhouse (Delton), Sherrie Specht (fiance Brian Smith), Douglas Kidd (Laura), Randy Kidd (Kelli), Rodney Kidd, four grandchildren; Kristen Kidd, Jennifer Kidd; Tyler Specht; Nathan Specht, two sisters, Kathleen Brandenburg and Sharon Simon (Bob) two brothers; Paul Buck Brunner(Darlene) and Kenneth Brunner (Sue) and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,  Bonnie Brunner, Beverly Brunner, and Earl Stine.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three infant siblings; Charles, James and Phyllis Brunner and by adult siblings, Jean Stine, Janice Peaslee, Shirley Smith, Robert Brunner and John Brunner,  brothers-in-law, Marshall Brandenburg and John Peaslee and nephews Jason Brunner and Larry Brandenburg.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 25 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday October 26 from the funeral home. Rev. Kathy Vitalis Hoffman will officiate. Interment will be made in the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

A special thanks and appreciation to all the nurses, doctors and staff of Frederick Memorial Hospital for the care given Carolyn.
