Mr. LeRoy A. "Sonny" Adams Jr, 60, Middletown, died suddenly Tuesday January 20 at United Hospital in Bridgeport, WV. Born in Frederick, January 8, 1955 he was a son of the late LeRoy A. Sr. and Mary Isabel Young Adams. He was employed with C. W. Wright of Richmond, VA. He was member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown; a long standing member of the NRA; the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club and AMVETS Post #9, Middletown. 

He is survived by:

2 daughters - Ashley Grossnickle and husband Dave - Myersville and Brittany Adams and significant other Michael Reed - Myersville

3 grandchildren - Jamison and Jacob Grossnickle and Cooper Reed
his significant other- Wanda Rippeon - Smithsburg
the following sisters and brothers - Connie Nusbaum - Frederick; Linda Shiflett - Union Bridge; Janet Shoemaker - Frederick; Diane Smith - Mt. Airy; June Wilson - Middletown; Richard Adams- Middletown; Mark Adams - Middletown
He was predeceased by a sister Joyce Burtner and a brother - Franklin Ross Adams

The family will receive friends on Friday January 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Saturday January 24 from Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St., Middletown. Rev. Dr. Kathy Vitalis Hoffman will officiate. Interment will be made in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
