Mr. George Wilmer Guyton, 93, Burkittsville, died Tuesday February 4 at Citizens Nursing Home in Frederick. he was the husband of Etta Louise Zecher Guyton.

Born in Arnoldstown on the family farm August 19, 1920 a son of the late Daniel and Sopha Magaha Guyton. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Burkittsville and former member of the Frederick County Farm Bureau.

Surviving, besides his wife, are:
2 children - Georgie Griffith and husband Carlton - Mt. Airy and Wilmer Guyton and wife Joann - Burkittsville
12 grandchildren - Eric Dawson, Debbie Dawson, Rhonda Dawson, Kim Cavell, Rick Brashears, David Brashears, Jennifer Evans, Stacey Kahler, Dee Shafer, Carena French, Janell Droneburg, Lance Guyton.
22 great-great-grandchildren
2 great-great-great-grandchildren
1 sister - Mary Petre - Boonsboro
He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Brashears Wade in 2009.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Friday February 7 at the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Burkittsville. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the church service. Wilmer, mom and I want to express our sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your father. We lost dad 4 years ago, so I know what a loss this can be.
