Mr. Newton "Newt" Eugene Love, 86, Myersville, died Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro. He was the husband of Lois Jean "Patsy" Wiles Love.
Born in Bristol, TN, May 3, 1924 he was a son of the late Stewart Franklin and Virginia Dickerson Love. In his early years he was employed at Elevator Engineering Co. in Baltimore and later at AeroJet, Control Data, Fedders, and Airpax in Frederick.
He was a lifetime member of South Mountain Rod and Gun Club,
Surviving, besides his wife, are:
6 children - Gale Bieht - Frederick; Jerry Love and his companion - Myersville; Terry Love and wife Cindy - Myersville; Phil Love - Boonsboro; Marty Love and wife Amy - Hagerstown; Dreama Love - Mt. Savage
9 grandchildren
6 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lyn Marie Mitts and a daughter Elizabeth Ann Mitts and a grandson Matthew James son of Marty and Amy.
The family will receive friends on Friday May 7 at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday May 8 from the funeral home. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will be made in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wolfsville Volunteer Fire Co., 12545 Wolfsville Rd., Myersville, MD 21773.
