Mrs. Eva Marie Karn, 80, Burkittsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 24, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Gerald C. Karn.
Born in Baltimore, November 4, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Russell Gorman and Laura Myrtle Sweetman Ray. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, great-grandmother and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Gapland.
Surviving, besides her husband, are:
1 daughter - Suzanne Atwood - Burkittsville
2 sons - Gerald R. Karn - Burkittsville and Thomas R. Atwood and wife Connie - San Antonio, Texas
4 grandchildren - Cheryl Lynn Atwood and Stephanie Atwood - Baltimore; Jennifer S. Blackburn - Frederick;
Amy R. Deosaran and husband Derek S. - Davidsonville
2 great-grandchildren - Nicholas M. Deosaran- Davidsonville and Brandon Connor - Baltimore
1 sister - Mildred Burns - Chesapeake, VA
a brother-in-law - George Karn Jr. - Burkittsville
two sisters-in-law - Mary Broyles - Burkittsville and Earleen Redmond - Yarrowsburg
2 furr children - Piglet and Kali
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Ruth Forney of Tuscon, AZ
The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 27 from 7 to 9 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday October 28 from the funeral home. Rev. Wendell McClellan will officiate. Interment will be made in the Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery, Middletown.
Memorial contributions may ba made to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Rd., Rohrersville, MD 21779
