Mrs. Helen M. Ahalt, 91, Jefferson, passed away of Saturday December 17 at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy
she was the wife of Amos A. Ahalt who died in December 1997.
Born in Lander, October 4, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Francis George and marchie Cordell Morrison.
She was a member of Jefferson United Church of Christ; life member of the Jefferson Vounteer Fire co. where she served as historian. She , along, with her husband, were dairy farmers for many years.
she is survived by:
2 sons - Amos Ben Ahalt and Ronald W. Ahalt Sr. and wife Evelyn - Jefferson
2 grandsons - Mark Ahalt and wife Lisa - Middletown and Billy Ahalt and wife Jennifer - Myersville
3 great-grandchildren - Luke Ryan and Leann Rylea Ahalt - Middletown; Willie Ahalt - Myersville
3 step-grandchildren - Junior, Sarah, Robin Schrodel - Jefferson
a sister-in-law - Evelyn Morrison - Jefferson
a special friend - Barbara Horst - Jefferson
she was predeceased by a brother George Morrison; a granddaughter Amy Ahalt; two daughters-in-law - Louise Elizabeth Ahalt and Glenda Lee Ahalt.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday December 20 from 7 to 9 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday December 21 from the funeral home. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will be made in the Jefferson United Church of Christ cemetery.
