Ms. Ruth Imelda Coughlin, 86, Frederick, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 25, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, March 13, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Leslie R. Sr. and Gertrude Ashe Lewis.
Ms. Coughlin grew up in Washington DC and was a single working mother; and for over 30 years was employed by C & P Telephone Co. She moved to Middletown to live with her daughter and family. In 1988 she moved to Pittsville, MD and returned to Frederick, MD three years ago.
She is survived by:
1 daughter - Aloma Ann King - Hagerstown, MD
1 brother - Leslie R. Lewis Jr. - Berlin, MD
5 grandchildren - Bob King and wife Lynn - Chesapeake Beach, MD; Fred King and wife Teresa - Wolfsville, MD
Rose Knott and husband Steve -Frederick, MD; Larry King and wife Sandy - Frederick, MD; Kellie King Cirko- Frederick, MD
12 greatgrandchildren
2 great-great-grandchildren
a special niece - Vicky Alexander and family - Knoxville, MD
a special family member - Lisa Yonkoski - Middletown, MD
The family will receive friends on Monday August 2 from 6 to 8 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, MD Memorial services will be held 1 PM on Tuesday August 3 from the funeral home. Interment will be private.
