Mrs. Delores Marie Herridge, 76, Clarksburg, died Wednesday August 12, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Richard L. Herridge Sr.
Born in Hagerstown, November 24, 1932 she was a daughter of the late William L. and Mary I. Gelwicks Carter. She was a charter member of the Church of the Holy Trinity UCC in Hagerstown and was employed as a bus driver in Montgomery County until her retirement. She then was employed as a dance instructor and was a member of ROUNDALAB.
Surviving, besides her husband, are:
1 son - Richard L. Herridge Jr. - Clarksburg
2 grandsons - Matthew Kaplowitz and William Kaplowitz
1 sister - Patricia Ann Bruchey - Hagerstown
She was predeceased by her daughter Constance Arlene Herridge on Nov. 15, 2007 and her sister Barbara Jean Spence.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 14 from 7 to 9 PM at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Saturday August 15 from the Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, 17805 Oak Ridge Drive in Hagerstown. Rev. Timothy J. Leighton will officiate. Interment will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
