We are saddened to announce that after a 6 ½ battle with cancer, the passing of Catherine L. Domergue 66 at her home in Middletown. She was the wife of Robert G. Domergue. Born in Rochester, PA on August 16, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Jenny Setting Marotti. Cathy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation, she worked for the FBI and Hewlett-Packard in Washington DC before having children.

She then became a substitute teacher at Middletown Elementary and Middle schools and at Poolesville Junior Senior High School. Later she worked as an English Composition Assistant at Poolesville High School for nine years and served as the school's registrar for seven years until she retired in February 2012. In her role as registrar, she enjoyed working closely with senior students on their applications for college. While her children were in school, she was actively involved in the PTA, coached girls' soccer for MVAA, and helped begin the first Safe and Sane Post Prom parties in the Middletown area.
  
Cathy loved to cook and bake, but also enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, doing crafts and golfing. She also enjoyed vacationing with family in places such Italy, Walt Disney World and most of all, in Myrtle Beach. Above all she was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
  
Surviving, besides her husband are a son Christopher (Marleah) Domergue of Gambrills and a daughter Renee (Marshall) Mundy of the United Kingdom, five grandchildren, Dominic, Layla and Carina Domergue and Gemma and Sydney Mundy, a brother Joseph (Kathleen) Marotti of Fl., sisters Antonia (James) Moore of Maryland and Martha (Leo) Hegner of PA.
  
The Domergue family would like to thank all her kind doctors, the nurses and staff at James Stockman Cancer Center and Hospice of Frederick staff and nurses for comfort and support throughout her illness. We particularly would to thank Dr. Mark Goldstein, Dr. Joseph Ashwal, and Dr. Neil Rosenshein.
    
The family will receive friends at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Rd. Middletown, Md, on Thursday, December 28. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with mass to follow. Msgr. Robert Jaskot will officiate.
    
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James Stockman Cancer Center of Frederick and Hospice of Frederick.

Domergue Family - So sorry to read of the passing of Cathy in the Fred. Post. I remember her when we worked together at Hewlett Packard many years ago. May she rest in peace. God Bless her family.
