Gladys "Pauline" Johnson, 95, Myersville died Thursday August 10, 2017 at Somerford Place in Hagerstown. She was the wife of the late Basil L. Johnson. Born in Wolfsville on January 2, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Elmer J. and Mary Kline Delauter. In early years she enjoyed being a homemaker and later was employed as a food service worker with the Frederick County Public School System until her retirement. She was a member of the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville.

Surviving are three children Deborah Ahalt (Daniel) of Columbia, Pam Gouker (Michael) of Hagerstown and Timothy Johnson (Teri) of Falling Waters, WV, two grandsons Benjamon Gouker (Kimberly) of Sykesville and Joshua Gouker (Lindsey) of Durham, NC and two great-grandsons Cash and Wells Gouker. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters; Dorothy Lewis of Myersville, Donald Delauter of Southern Pines, NC, George Delauter of Jefferson, Gene Delauter of Hagerstown, Beverly Delauter of Frederick and Clark Delauter of Sabillasville, three aunts Olive Ross, Vera Morgan and Norma Biser and twenty-five nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday August 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday August 16 from the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, 11301 Meeting House Rd., Myersville. Rev. Karen Grossnickle will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the cemetery fund of the Grossnickle COB or to the Alzheimers Association.
